Situated in the Lakewood Towne Center shopping mall, the Lakewood Playhouse is your place for performing arts. A new season has kicked off with Sherlock Holmes and the Doom of Devilsmoor. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be showcased during the holiday season.
The Lakewood Playhouse also features a youth theater program that will hold auditions for performances like Hamlet and The House at Pooh Corner in February for its winter productions. The youth program is made to put actors in a complete theatre experience to improve basic skills and performance.

The Emerald Ballet Theatre welcomes dance students of all ages and ability levels. Ballet options include Introduction (ages 2 - 6), Beginning (grades 2 - 3), Advanced Beginning (four seperate levels), Intermediate/Advanced (six levels), Enrichment (six levels), and auditions for the annual performance of The Nutcracker. The studio also holds classes in jazz, street and modern, and has a community class that samples many different styles such as Pilates, Zumba, Irish and Flamenco. Emerald Ballet has been located on Northup Way since 2006.
Briora Ballroom Dance Studio employs certified professional dancers to provide wedding dance instruction, dance-based fitness classes, ballroom and Latin dance instruction, ballroom dance shows, and more. Lessons are available in private or groups. Through dancing, the studio creates a community fostering fun, togetherness, and personal growth. Additionally, the 6,500-square-foot venue may be rented out for receptions and special events.
