The First Pentecostal Church of Buford, with its stately brick exterior and white spire, is an impressive and involved local religious institution. In addition to two Sunday services, First United Pentecostal offers Sunday school, youth programs, ministries for men and women of all ages, Bible study and a Spanish ministry. A Spanish-language service is held on Saturdays.
Lead by pastor Jimmy Dunn, the Lanier Church of God serves the Christian community in Buford through weekly services. The church also offers a variety of programs for congregation members of all ages, including bible study, Sunday school, homecoming events, car shows and family activities. The church also operates the Buford Community Thrift Shop on Wiley Drive.
RiverStone Church was started by Scott and Vickie Westbrook. In 2008 it moved into its current location near Friendship Road. It provides prayer and study groups for men and women as well as groups for children and teens. Riverstone Church invites everyone to come as they are and learn about God.
Back to The Bible Holiness Church is led by Pastor Bobby Wright. The church believes in the second coming of Jesus Christ. There are several services throughout the week, as well as Sunday school for children. The church also organizes events for its members.
The Sisters Mission Holiness Church is a local place of worship and spiritual guidance for the people of Buford and its surrounding communities. It is led by Charity Little.
