Fresh Pond Park is located on Bartlett Road, off Route 3A in Manomet. This is a great freshwater beach and picnic spot. Residents can access the park with a Plymouth Beach sticker, and visitors can pay a $10 to $15 parking fee. Lifeguards are on duty in season. Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed.

Briggs Playground is located on Route 3A in Manomet across from the Manomet Fire Station. The land was provided by the Briggs family and purchased by the town in 1971. The park includes a little league baseball field, two tennis courts, a swing set and a slide.

Haskell Field is located across the street from the Nook Road entrance of Plymouth North High School. The Plymouth Youth Baseball and Softball teams make use of the 60-foot baseball diamond. The park also has a recreational basketball court. The baseball field is a memorial for Walter Bartlett Haskell, a chairman of the Park Commission.

Myles Standish State Forest is the largest publicly-owned park in Southeastern Massachusetts. The forst offers five camping areas along four of its 16 ponds. Myles Standish offers swimming, boating and camping. The Charge Pond camping area is set aside specifically for horse camping and College Pond offers picnicking, swimming, fishing and canoeing. A portion of the park is set aside for hunting. There are game birds and deer in the forest. Myles Standish has 15 miles of bicycle trails, 35 miles of equestrian trails and 13 miles of hiking trails. The park includes one of the largest contigious pine barrens morth of Long Island. Kettle ponds dot the landscape and the sensitive shore lines are off limits in many areas. Off-road vehicles are not allowed.

During the summer, park rangers lead a variety of hikes and walks for the whole family. Myles Standish's main office is located on the Carver side of the forest, but most of the forest is located within Plymouth.

Forges Field is the largest playing field facility in Plymouth. There are three senior-size soccer fields, two baseball fields with regulation-size infields, two junior league baseball fields, two youth softball fields, one adult softball field, one football practice field and one football field. Forges Field is the home of the Plymouth Vikings Pop Warner team and cheerleading squad. There is also a playground and 1.5 miles of paved walking paths. Dogs are allowed, but they must be leashed.

The Plymouth Recreation Department provides recreational and leisure activities for individuals and families. The department s facilities include a youth center, playgrounds, parks, trails and fields. It offers sports activities that include basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer and tennis for youths and adults. In addition, it offers playground equipment. The Plymouth Recreation Department supports skateboarding, swimming, boating, bicycling, fishing, picnicking and walking activities. The department operates a memorial hall that provides space for various events. The department operates under the government of the town of Plymouth, Mass., which also operates accounting, fire, health, public works, finance, human resources, information technology and library departments.

Ellisville Harbor State Park was once part of an 18th century farmstead belonging to the Harlow family. The park includes part of the farmstead as well as beachfront, salt marsh, meadows, cedar stands and red pine forest. The park also has a barrier beach and a peat bog. Work is currently being done to reopen the channel into the harbor in order to preserve the existing species and historic nature of the park.

Plymouth County Farm is a farm that has been run by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department since 1910. The farm currently houses the Sheriff's Department's mounted unit and also features cattle and miniature horses. The site hosts horticultural programs and family-friendly events.

Morton Park is located off Summer Street about a mile and a half from Downtown Plymouth. This park has 200 acres of forest and shoreline on Little Pond and Billington Sea, making it the largest park in Plymouth. This is a great spot for picnicking and freshwater swimming. The smallest park in Massachusetts is also one of the busiest parks in the state. Each year more than 1 million tourists come to Pilgrim Memorial State Park to visit Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrims are said to have landed in 1620. The park includes a landscaped waterfront and a statue of William Bradford, the first governor of Plymouth Colony. The Mayflower II is moored at the State Pier within the park.
