Tucked behind the bright lights and bustling energy of Biscayne Boulevard in the city of North Miami Beach is Oleta River State Park. This hidden gem provides a unique outdoor experience, including boating, nature trails, an extensive biking trail and a beach. Just a few blocks east of U.S. 1, this expansive state park provides a secluded off-the beaten path feel, but is just minutes away from major shopping malls, eateries, and highways in the big city.

Oleta River Beach: It offers an authentic beach experience that almost makes you forget that you're in the midst of an outdoor adventure at a state park.

Bicycling: This state park has one of the best bike trails in the county. Ten miles of moderate-level mountain biking trails are available for experienced bikers. For those less experienced but equally eager, they have access to a three-mile paved bike trail, or a four-mile amateur mountain bike trail.

Blue Marlin Fish House: Sitting on the historic lot of the old Blue Marlin Smoke House, this waterfront restaurant serves up fresh seafood that keeps the crowd wanting more. The food is so good, it's even been featured on Food Network's hit show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Best and worst time to go to Oleta River State Park
The best time to visit the park is during the week. While most people are at work, visitors can enjoy the park and the abundance of activities without the hassle of large crowds and long lines.
