Armstrong Manufacturing Company has been serving saw filers and saw millers throughout the world since 1902. In 1997, Armstrong became a wholly owned subsidiary of Simonds Industries, one of the worlds largest makers of saws, knives and files. Armstrong is now part of a company with more than 165 years tradition serving the sawmill industry. The company makes a full line of saw maintenance equipment for wide band saws as well as many machines and tools for the circular saws used in sawmills and other sawing applications. The company also provides an automatic Cobalt Chromium Alloy tipping machine and a full line of manual and pneumatic swages and shapers for band, sash gang and circular saws. For leveling and tensioning, Armstrong makes three automatic band saw leveling machines and an automatic vertical circle saw leveler. Manual stretcher rolls for tensioning and leveling band saws or circular saws are also offered through the company.
