Panda Express was established in 1973 by Andrew Cheng in Pasadena, California. Andrew and his father, a master Chinese chef, brought their family recipes to America from the beautiful Yangzhou region of China. Combining the robust flavors of Mandarin and Szechuan cuisines, Panda Express was among the first to introduce Chinese food to the US.
