Outback Steakhouse is an Australian steakhouse restaurant. Although beef and steak items make up a good portion of the menu, the concept offers a variety of chicken, ribs, seafood and pasta dishes. The company s strategy is to differentiate its restaurants by emphasizing consistently high-quality food and service, generous portions at moderate prices and a casual atmosphere suggestive of the Australian Outback. The company is a subsidiary of OSI Restaurant Partners, which owns and operates Outback Steakhouse, Carrabbas Italian Grill, Roys Restaurant, Bonefish Grill, Flemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Lee Roy Selmons, Cheeseburger in Paradise and Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits. Each of the Outback restaurants seeks out local groups and events with which to share its food, time and money. By enlisting the volunteer spirit of its Outbackers, the restaurants create awareness of local groups and help build communities from within. Outback Steakhouse maintains a location in Indianapolis.
