Jason E. Fond, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and partner at Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). He is dual board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. In addition to his position at NEOSM, Dr. Fond is Director of Orthopedic Surgery at Nyack Hospital, a team physician and assistant clinical professor at Dominican College as well as a team physician for St. Joseph’s Regional High School. Dr. Fond is a frequent guest on CBS Sports Radio as an expert on sports injuries. Prior to his position at NEOSM, Dr. Fond was President of the Medical Staff at Nyack Hospital. He was named Nyack Hospital Physician of the Year and has been listed as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly each year since 2014. Dr. Fond is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Medical Society of the State of New York. Dr. Fond completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Virginia Sports Medicine Institute affiliated with Georgetown University. At that time, he was an assistant team physician for the Washington Redskins and George Mason University. He completed an orthopedic residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Fond received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree with honors from Tufts University. In his free time, Dr. Fond enjoys basketball, golf, cooking and movies. He also takes time to coach basketball, softball, and baseball for his three children.
