Jason E. Fond, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and partner at Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). He is dual board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. In addition to his position at NEOSM, Dr. Fond is Director of Orthopedic Surgery at Nyack Hospital, a team physician and assistant clinical professor at Dominican College as well as a team physician for St. Joseph’s Regional High School. Dr. Fond is a frequent guest on CBS Sports Radio as an expert on sports injuries. Prior to his position at NEOSM, Dr. Fond was President of the Medical Staff at Nyack Hospital. He was named Nyack Hospital Physician of the Year and has been listed as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly each year since 2014. Dr. Fond is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Medical Society of the State of New York. Dr. Fond completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Virginia Sports Medicine Institute affiliated with Georgetown University. At that time, he was an assistant team physician for the Washington Redskins and George Mason University. He completed an orthopedic residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Fond received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree with honors from Tufts University. In his free time, Dr. Fond enjoys basketball, golf, cooking and movies. He also takes time to coach basketball, softball, and baseball for his three children.

Chong K. Oh, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Oh specializes in spine surgery, with an interest in various minimally invasive procedures. He completed his fellowship in spine surgery at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center. His residency training in orthopedic surgery was completed at the New York University Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for academic and clinical excellence. He received a bachelor’s degree with honors from Cornell University. Dr. Oh is an active member of the North American Spine Society. Barry S. Kraushaar, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). Dr. Kraushaar is Medical Director, team physician and assistant clinical professor at Dominican College. Dr. Kraushaar sits on the Board of Directors of the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons. He was also the founding co-chairman of the Joint Replacement Center at Nyack Hospital. Dr. Kraushaar completed his fellowship training in sports medicine at Virginia Sports Medicine Institute and Georgetown University, where he published widely about tendon injuries in athletes. His residency in orthopedic surgery was completed at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His bachelor’s degree in neuroscience was completed at Colgate University. Barry S. Kraushaar, MD Co-Director of Nyack Hospitals Joint Replacement Center Dr. Kraushaar began practice in 1996. He founded Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 1999. Dr. Kraushaar treats patients of all ages and specializes in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and sports injuries to the shoulder, elbow and knee. Jason E. Fond, MD joined Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in August 2001. In addition to sports medicine, Dr. Fond treats patients of all ages with multiple orthopedics diagnoses. This includes joint reconstruction for arthritis, fixation of complex fractures, hand trauma, and pediatric injuries. Richard L. Popowitz joined the team of Drs. Kraushaar and Fond in August 2004. Though specializing in sports-related injuries, Dr. Popowitz also treats patients of all ages with a wide range of orthopedic symptoms and diagnoses. He participates as a team doctor for local teams as well as for professional athletes. Jeffrey R. Lee, MS, RPA-C Jeff is the physician assistant on staff. He completed his undergraduate studies in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training at Marietta College. After graduating, he was accepted into the New Jersey Nets summer internship program, where he helped care for the professional athletes. Jeff continued his education at the University of Medicine of New Jersey and Seton Hall University. There he completed a three-year masters program in physician assistant studies. Since graduating, Jeff has been working in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. His duties consist of surgical assisting, patient management, and coverage of various sporting events.
