Physical therapy is a profession uniquely trained in postural and movement disorders. This gives us the ability to not only undo pain syndromes once they begin, but the ability to identify them before they start. Simply put, we see the hitch in your running form, the awkward movement in your hip during your golf swing, that funny way you move your foot when you walk, or the way you drop your shoulder when you throw. We can design a program to correct these movement patterns before they become painful and detract from your life. If you are experiencing pain, dysfunction, or reduced quality of life, our training in manual therapy and multiple hands-on techniques combined with traditional physical therapy modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, can help to eliminate your pain. However, it does not matter how skilled the therapist is with their hands, the elimination of pain does not mean that the problem is resolved. We have to address the postural and movement dysfunction that caused your pain. With our precise physical and movement examination, we will identify these dysfunctions and work to correct them through a combination of specific, guided movements and therapeutic exercise to increase flexibility, strength, balance, and neuromuscular control. We want you to feel empowered in the understanding that you know what is wrong and that you can fix it. We want you to walk away with confidence that you know how to keep the pain from coming back as you return to your activity, sport, or everyday life. It is common for the people we serve to take that momentum and launch into a healthier lifestyle. It is our big picture goal for all the people we serve. Our personal training and massage therapy services are coordinated with physical therapy and create a highly customized resource for you to take your rehabilitation to the next level to build fitness and sports specific performance.

**We do not accept Medicaid at this time** **We do not perform D.O.T. Physicals** **We do not have Aquatic Therapy** **We do not perform FCE** Telegraph Road Physical Therapy has been operating for over 25 years in the South County area of St. Louis serving Lemay, Mehlville, Oakville, Affton, Arnold, St. Louis City, Sunset Hills, Columbia and Waterloo IL residents. It is common that patients will travel from West and even North County to seek out treatment from the staff at Telegraph Road Physical Therapy. We have treated students from most of the area schools, from football to dance and can give valuable advice on safe return to sports and activities. In today’s healthcare environment, the patient has more responsibilities than ever. At Telegraph Road Physical Therapy, we are a valuable asset helping you steer down the road to recovery. Our aim is to return each patient to peak performance whether you are an elite gymnast, a weekend golfer, or someone who wants to maintain independence in daily activities. All of our Physical Therapists have advanced degrees, and you will always see the same Physical Therapist at each visit -- receiving that one-one-one compassionate attention that you deserve. We use an eclectic approach that with our vast experience allows us to expertly utilize specialized techniques so that you can return to an active lifestyle. Some of the more common strategies we employ are Manual Therapy, Mulligan technique, Mackenzie Method, Exercise based strengthening, neuromuscular re-education, Development Sequencing with pediatric and neurologic patients, Dynamic Movement Pattern Therapy, Strain/Counterstrain, Plan for at least one hour for your initial visit and please come 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to finish paperwork. Follow-up appointments run between 40 to 60 minutes. Sessions for patients who have experienced a stroke may be longer. Most importantly, we adapt our time to optimize your outcomes. Few, if any, physical therapy offices will offer you the kind of patient “perks” that we offer here at Telegraph Road Physical Therapy. Our new gym is filled with the latest equipment to get you back in good condition. And because it takes someone trained -- and licensed -- in physical therapy to give the help you need, our staff is comprised only of licensed physical therapists who will spend a full hour focused on your concerns. We do not double book or utilize unlicensed aids like so many of our competitors because we care about your safety and realize that it takes time to learn and understand your unique injury or situation. Our clinic offers a family atmosphere which focuses on optimal outcomes, not a factory mentality.

My practice is devoted primarily to sports medicine and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, knee, and hip. I have served as a team physician on the professional, collegiate and high school levels, and I have provided care for the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Hornets. I also perform minimally invasive joint replacement and treat fractures and work-related injuries. In addition to my medical commitments, I enjoy sports, strength and conditioning, traveling, and spending time with my wife Mariam.
