Ariana DeMers, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides the most cutting-edge technologies in sports medicine to the active community of Sonora, California. When she broke her arm at age 9, Dr. DeMers became fascinated by everything she learned throughout her medical care and recovery. It’s no surprise she went on to earn her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She then completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan. During her one-year sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico, Dr. DeMers treated everyone from high school and college athletes to elite high altitude runners and professional ski racers. She often relies on this experience at her practice, where she works with all types of patients, from kids injured on the playground to weekend warriors and active retirees. Her involvement in multiple research projects, technology development, and surgical technique innovation enables Dr. DeMers to focus on the most conservative approaches to treatment possible.
