Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Easter Seals provides services to people and children living with autism and disabilities. It organizes outpatient program, social security representative payee program, transportation program, vocational program as well as workforce investment act at-risk-youth program, among others. Founded in 1920, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a 1.2 million member nonprofit organization representing disabled veterans and their families across the United States. Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., it offers a comprehensive range of services in the categories of vocational rehabilitation/employment, education, home loan guaranty, life insurance, death benefits, health care and more. Additionally, the organization conducts information seminars, counseling and community outreach. DAV serves through a nationwide network of national/transition service offices, hospital service coordinator offices, state-level departments, voluntary service representatives and more than 1900 local DAV Chapters.
