Tesoro Corporation is one of the largest independent petroleum refiners and marketers in the Western United States. It has a rated crude oil capacity of nearly 560,000 barrels per day. Tesoro s retail marketing system includes more than 500 branded retail stations under the Tesoro and Mirastar brand names. The company also has 2Go convenience stores and serves motorists at Wal-Mart refueling locations. It supplies the commercial segment with heavy fuels and aviation and marine gas. Tesoro is also a major producer of distillates. The company markets wholesale motor fuels to unbranded dealers. Bruce A. Smith has been the chief executive officer of Tesoro for more than 11 years. He has been with the petroleum and natural gas company for over 13 years. Smith attended Westminster College and the University of Kansas. Tesoro Corporation was established in 1968 and is headquartered in San Antonio.
