Dr. Chitwood, vascular surgeon for CorVasc MDs, a member of St. Vincent Medical Group, has been in practice since 1996. Dr. Chitwood earned his bachelors degree in biology from Ball State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, and he completed his general surgery internship and residency at St. Joseph Mercy, Ann Arbor, MI. He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Dr. Chitwood is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in vascular surgery from the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Chitwood is also part of the VeinSolutions group of vascular specialists treating varicose and spider veins. Dr. Chitwood is also seeing patients in need of vascular care in Anderson, IN, as part of the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. Dr. Chitwoods professional memberships include the American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Indianapolis Medical Society and the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society. In his free time, Dr. Chitwood enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
