It was one of the first fast service optical companies in the country. Dr. Dixon shared his patient’s frustration with the fact that glasses had to be sent out of town and their return time could never be guaranteed. So, he set out to find a way to fill this need in the market. By the late 1970’s, despite the many obstacles, One Hour Optical was an established name in the Denver optical marketplace. Today, One Hour Optical has 4 stores and is exclusive to Colorado. The company’s goals of quality and service still hold true today! The Denver Public School System is currently has more than 27,000 low-income students who need some level of vision correction.
