Chesterfield Group is a boutique strategic advisory firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in a number of very focused, high-level services to Boards of Directors, and Chief Executive Officers. We also collaborate with a variety of Professionals who serve this same client market. The Chesterfield Groups Value Proposition is built on two personal observations over a 30-year business career: They are frequently blurred together by those responsible for developing them, usually a combination of the Board of Directors and CEO. Process is typically given higher priority than structure by those in charge of developing both, for reasons including Most employees ( correctly, I think ) leave the responsibility of structure to their CEO, who often rose to that level by being a great producer. Chesterfield Group proposes to add value to our clients by enhancing their high-level structuring efforts. We involve ourselves in all aspects of high-level structuring, with a special focus on Recognition of opportunities for the use of Collaborative Business Structures and their implementation most particularly as an alternative to a merger or acquisition. While there can be no guarantee that every situation can benefit from our involvement, the benefits of improving a companys fundamental structure at this level are so dramatic that most of our clients regard us as a worthwhile insurance policy to, at the very least, confirm that their current structure is optimum. That said, however, we recognize that any given client works in the real world of his or her particular situation, including industry, size, etc., with his or her own unique constraints and opportunities related to that situation. The Chesterfield Groups application of its abstract principles must reflect those realities. To help facilitate that application, Mr. George collaborates with a number of associates he has built up over the years with a broad base of experience in many different industries and business situations. They act as the Chesterfield Groups Board of Advisors and provide background and assistance on assignments within their special areas of experience.
