The Breathing Room Foundation is headquartered in the Red Barn Mall on South York Road. The nonprofit group provides financial, emotional and spiritual assistance to individuals battling cancer. People can nominate someone who is fighting cancer to receive various awards, including house cleaning, home repairs or childrens' gifts.
The Meadowbrook School is an independent, non-profit, co-educational and non-sectarian private day school that encompasses preschool students through sixth grade. Situated on 18 acres of wooded land with a nature path, Meadowbrook's campus features the Thomas Family Lobby, the Goldfield Greensmith Art Gallery, the Marion Louise Saltzman Art Center, the Shuttleworth Gymnasium and the Theresa E. Lynch Preschool & Kindergarten Building. With an average class size of 14 students, the school offers a rigorous academic schedule that promotes student excellence and cross-connects all academic areas of learning.
