Ross County Historical Society was founded in 1896 to commemorate the centennial of the founding of Chillicothe Ohio and to preserve and promote the study of the history of the city, Ross County and the surrounding region. One hundred years later, the Societys mission remains the same. The RCHS conducts educational programs for people of all ages, saves and preserves for posterity historical artifacts and documents, and operates three museums and a library. All are open to the public.

Since 1912, we have been here when youve needed us...The Ross County ( Ohio ) Humane Society, Inc is an independent organization supported by memberships, contributions and bequests. Your tax-deductible donations will help us save more animals, and do more for people. The Humane Society is a nonprofit corporation governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers from the community who are dedicated to animal welfare. We are committed to the general welfare, sheltering and placement of animals, prevention of cruelty to animals, animal overpopulation, and education concerning humane treatment of all living creatures. The Society is not controlled or funded by any state-wide or national organization. Donations made to national animal welfare groups do not benefit our local pets.
