Seeing their mission as providing “a hand up, not a hand out,” Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County is committed to helping hardworking families enjoy the stability and long-term investment benefits of homeownership without having to qualify for a traditional mortgage. To be eligible, you must meet income, credit, and rental history requirements. You must also volunteer in the construction of your own home or homes for other families. After construction is finished, your affordable mortgage payment goes back toward helping more local families. There a number of ways to get involved in this non-profit organization. College students and high school students are invited to join affinity groups to serve as volunteers and fundraising advocates. Coordinate and sponsor themed builds to create essential networking and teambuilding opportunities for your business and church organization. Individuals and groups are always welcome to offer their time to this organization.
