WXXI is a public television and public radio broadcast service located in Rochester, N.Y. It operates WXXI-TV, WXXI-AM 1370, WXXI-FM 91.5, and Reachout Radio, a service for those with visual impairments or blindness. WXXI is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service in regard to its television broadcasts, and a member of the National Public Radio and an affiliate of Public Radio International for its radio broadcast. WXXI s national public television productions include Warrior in Two Worlds, Echoes from the Ancients, Out of the Fire, Albert Paley: Man of Steel and Flight to Freedom. WXXI also produces Assignment: The World, a weekly current-events program for schools. The station is owned by the WXXI Public Broadcasting Council.
