Located within Central Park, the Harriet Alexander Nature Center is 52 acres of forest, marsh, trails and prairies. Providing protection for more than 100 species of animals and plants, the nature center commonly homes painted turtles, rabbits, songbirds and other animals.
The Minnesota Zoo offers cutting-edge exhibits of animals from across the world. There are over 500 kinds of animals and birds available for viewing in indoor and outdoor exhibits. The Thomas Irvine Dodge Nature Center is a 320-acre environmental education and habitat restoration center located in West St. Paul and Mendota Heights.
The center offers a preschool, classes open to the public, six miles of walking trails, a working farm, honey bees, gardens, farm animals, event space, apple orchards and expert staff to run it all and educate the many visitors.
Dodge is designed to be a natural oasis in an urban environment.
