Longy School of Music, founded in 1915, provides a wide variety of conservatory, preparatory and continuing education in Western art music. The school provides bachelor s and master s degrees, and diplomas programs for graduate and undergraduate students. It also offers programs in musical understanding and technical mastery. The school s master of music degree offers various classes, such as collaborative piano, composition and modern American music. The undergraduate programs provided by the school include opera, organ, piano, strings, voice, woodwinds and brass studies. Its medieval institute offers a comprehensive performance seminar for professional and preprofessional singers and players of vielle, harp and lute. The school comprises more than 150 teachers.
