WWII Museum on the National Register of Historic Places. The only Military Museum in Broward County. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The building is the only reminder from a 200 building naval base complex from WWII. This Museum has been instrumental in preserving the memory of Flight 19 one of the great aviation mysteries. Flight 19 flew out of this Naval Air Station on 5 December 1945 to vanish into the Bermuda Triangle. In addition 19 year old future US President George H.W. Bush lived at this base as an Ensign to train as a torpedo/bomber pilot. A large aviation mural on exhibit was signed by him in 1992 when he visited. On exhibit WWII Link Trainer Flight Simulator (historic engineering landmark). Recreated Soldiers Barracks room. Also vintage photos, books, models, instruments, artifacts, library, ship plaques, period uniforms, 25x7 aviation mural, and other original paintings and drawings. On the grounds there are two WWII torpedoes and a WWI anti-aircraft machine gun.

Girls’ Club is a 501(c)3 private foundation and alternative space established in 2006 by Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz that presents exhibitions and programs that focuses on contemporary art by women.The mission of Girls’ Club is to educate the public and to serve as a resource for art students and scholars, curators and practicing artists on the contributions of women to the field of contemporary art. Girls’ Club produces exhibitions, educational programming, publications and events that change lives, nurture local artists, and inspire cultural growth in Broward County.

The Museum of Discovery and Science is a private and nonprofit facility. It is accredited by the American Association of Museums and the Association of Science-Technology Centers. Its facility covers an area of more than 85,000 square feet with interactive science exhibits, classrooms, caf , store and an atrium. Founded in 1976 as The Discovery Center, the facility serves more than 450,000 visitors. Its IMAX Theater was opened in 1992 and has a seating capacity for more than 300 people. It features a more than 15,000- watt digital system that delivers discrete channels of clear sound through various speakers. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the museum serves as an official interpretive site of the South Florida Ecosystems Restoration Task Force. The museum educates people through hands-on exhibits, engaging educational programming, and films and a live animal collection.
