Hauppauge United Methodist Church is one of the oldest churches in the Hauppauge community. Worship is led by Rev. A. Erik Rasmussen and the associate pastor, Rev. Arturo Maine. The church's white chapel is located on Townline Rd., and there's a small cemetery next to it. Headstones hint at the area's history with prominent families such as the Wheelers and Smiths, dating back to the early 19th century. Hauppauge United Methodist Church is part of the New York Annual Conference of United Methodist Church's Eastern District.
