Established in 1988, The Willow Springs Center helps children, adolescents and families to overcome psychiatric difficulties and return to healthier lives. It is a 70-plus-bed residential treatment facility that serves children between the ages of 5 and 17 to recover from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems. The facility coordinates a children s program that helps in making transition from childhood to early adolescence. The Willow Springs Center offers treatment options for adolescents dealing with secondary substance abuse issues, as well as individualized treatment plans and group therapy. It operates Truckee Meadows School, which is a year-round licensed educational institution for patients that emphasizes on behavior management and self-control with improved academic and social skills. The center administers a therapeutic program that provides clinical treatment, including individual, play, family, group and recreational therapies and behavior management.
