Dr. Robert Offutt is a native of West Texas and came to South Central Texas after attending college at Tulane University in New Orleans and The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Offutt received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 1974. He completed his Pediatric Dental residency at the University of Oregon Health Science Center in Portland, Oregon in 1977. Dr. Brett Mueller is a native fifth generation Texan born in Goliad, Texas. He attended Northwestern University Dental School and served in the US Army Dental Corp for 9 1/2 years. During his tour, he received his graduate training at Kansas City Missouri in pediatric dentistry. He became the first pediatric dentist to become board certified. He was Chief of Service at Walter Reed Army Medical center for 5 years. If your child experiences any type of tooth or mouth trauma, please call our office. We will schedule an appointment to see your child as soon as possible. New Braunfels Pediatric Dental Associates takes pride in providing your child with prompt dental care. If your child has suffered tooth trauma such as broken teeth, rinse the area with warm water and apply a cold compress over the facial area. Seek immediate dental attention by calling our office. When a permanent tooth is knocked out, recover the tooth if possible and rinse it under warm water. Place the tooth back into the socket or into a cup of milk. This type of injury requires immediate professional dental assistance. If after 15 minutes, your child is still excessively bleeding from the mouth, take him or her to the nearest ER or call 911 immediately.
