Ada Family Eye Care was established in October of 1992, but its history runs much deeper than that. Dr. Chris Gurley is a third-generation optometrist in Ada, following the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Kenneth Hensley paved the way in the mid-1940s when he opened Oklahoma Optical. Floyd Gurley continued the business for 49 years before handing it over to his son, Chris, in the fall of 1992. After earning his degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Chris began his practice in Ada. Dr. Chris Gurley recommends annual checkups for everyone in your family ages 6 months and up.
