Francis Fong Martial Arts Academy offers both adult and children's programs at its 6,000 square foot studio. Adult programs include Wing Chun, Jun Fan Gung Fu, Muay Thai, Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Kali/Escrima. Martial arts classes for kids include junior programs for ages seven to 12. Taido is located in the Spalding Plaza shopping center on Spalding Drive, just west of Holcomb Bridge Road. The school teaches Taido, a type of karate that emphasizes innovative techniques that are both practical and adaptable. Mits Uchida, a seventh-degree black belt who studied under the creator and Grand Master of Taido, is the owner and president of the school, as well as the president of the U.S. Taido Association.
