Welcome to Arbor Clinical Associates Arbor Clinical Associates is a group of mental health professionals including clinical psychologists, clinical social workers and psychotherapists committed to providing quality mental health care in Wheaton, IL and Northfield, IL. We are well-trained and broadly experienced in several specialities, including treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families. Our name was chosen because it is our desire to provide an environment of support and shelter in which each person will be able to explore and grow. An arbor is defined as "a shelter formed of or covered by vines or branches." While an arbor may be still and quiet, it is not stagnant, but a place filled with growth and movement. Family Shelter Service was founded in 1976 to help the homeless people in DuPage County in Illinois. It serves the victims of domestic violence and their families with several interconnected programs that includes individual and group counseling, court advocacy and services, shelter programs, help line access, teen programs and childrens services. In addition, the organization offers education outreach programs and professional in-service training to the public, short-term care of pets while victims are in shelter and raises awareness and provides culturally sensitive services to Latina victims. Its Second Chance Resale Shop offers a collection of used clothing, household items, furniture and accessories at a discounted rate and the profits gained from the shop benefits the domestic abuse victims. Family Shelter Service is located in Wheaton, Ill., and supports community service programs that include issues of immigration, religion, and safety setting and intervention services.
