Founded in 1976, Namaqua Center, operational for more than 80 years, offers mental health care and support services to community children. The center offers psychological treatment to children with emotional and behavioral disorders that results from extreme neglect and abuse. It supports families and youths through physical, sexual and psychological therapies. Namaqua Center provides individualized, case-specific care for individuals with emotional trauma and traumatized children. The center also provides short-term relief, residential support and substitute parenting for children, teens and adults, as well as various mental health and case management programs. In addition, it offers crisis intervention, outpatient treatment, substance abuse therapy and rehabilitative services that include physical, occupational and respite therapies.
