Shepherd of the Hills is a beautiful chapel located high up in the hills of Berkeley. The church is Christian-centric and accepts people of all ages, orientations and ethnicities.

Lutheran Church of the Cross has services in English, Korean and Finnish. Sunday school precedes the service and it has Bible study and other gatherings during the week. The Youth Emergency Assistance Hostel began at LCC and is still serves as a shelter for homeless youth along with case management resource. The church partners with several organizations to participate in issues such as environmental causes, immigrant rights and food and housing.

This Lutheran church and campus ministry is conveniently located near UC Berkeley on College Avenue. Fittingly, much of its sermons and programs are geared toward young people and its message is more progressive than that of many Christian churches.
