Longhorn Steakhouse, located in Columbia, S.C., is one of more than 175 Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants located throughout the Eastern and Midwest United States. The restaurant offers a casual atmosphere and features a variety of lunch and dinner items, such as steaks, salmon, shrimp, chicken, ribs, pork chops, prime rib, salads, soups and desserts. It also has a full bar that serves mixed drinks, wine, and draught and bottled beers. The first Longhorn restaurant was opened in Atlanta, in 1981. Its parent company, RARE Hospitality International, owns and franchises 280-plus restaurants throughout the U.S., including the chains of Longhorn Steakhouse, Bugaboo Creek Steak House, The Capital Grille, Hemenways Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar and The Old Grist Mill Tavern.
