The main Eastside convenience store which, for many decades, was known as McInerney's, has been newly spruced up and fully stocked for the first time in a several years following a change in management and is known known as Liquor Warehouse. The owners are Benicia area residents with plans to add an in-store deli. Bait, jewelry, money orders and check cashing (2% fee) are among the more unusual offerings. It is also one of few places in town that rents kegs.
Located in Benicia's historic downtown area, the Loft Wine Bar is a tasting room-style bar offering a handpicked selection of small-production craft wines from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and the Central Coast locales. The Loft features forty wines to try by the glass, with new varietals introduced each month. An imported wine-of-the-month is also available. Wine aficionados and those new to wine are equally welcome, and the knowlegable staff can provide a wealth of information on vintages, varietals or just about anything else pertaining to wine. In addition, customers may purchase wines by the bottle, or may join the wine club for discounts on purchases and entry to Loft events.

Bob's is a convenient neighborhood corner gas, grocery and liquor store located one block from the Carquinez Strait. Bob's sells bait, lottery tickets, batteries and firewood, and takes food stamps. It is a family-run business and the new owners are particularly helpful. The store is well-lit, clean and spacious. Neighborhood kids say they go there for the ice cream.
