Apartment Association, California Southern Cities, began eight decades ago in Long Beach as a group of owners united to protect their businesses and to improve the rental housing market. As we begin our 85th year of operation, our mission is the same - it is the delivery system and wide range of issues that have changed.In 1923, we worried about providing linens for renters on a weekly basis. Today, we are concerned about rent control and eviction laws.
