Green Trails strives to build a sense of community within the school. Weekly assemblies highlight student achievement and talent while also providing time for school-wide announcements. Parents are encouraged to attend stakeholders meetings. The school hosts regular "TLC" groups, which provide a forum to discuss parenting issues and concerns.
The school has English for Speakers of Other Languages classes and, like all Parkway schools, offers orchestra classes for third through fifth grades.
