Krav Maga Nova is the only licensed Krav Maga center in Northern Virginia. Krav Maga is the fighting and self-defense system of the Israeli military. It is a mix of karate, kickboxing and jiu jitsu. Eight different programs are taught by six certified instructors, most of whom have military or law enforcement backgrounds.
East Meets West Center is a yoga studio. Yoga and Pilates classes are offered for students of all levels. Mediation and stress reduction classes are also practiced. Workshops are offered every so often. Student who want more attention can opt for private classes. A full list of classes along with the current schedule is available on the studio's website. East Meets West Yoga Center is located on the third floor of the Long & Foster Building.
Yong In Martial Arts Academy is "A place to challenge yourself." In addition to teaching self defense, Yong In Martial Arts Academy is a fun venue for birthday parties or summer camp. It also provides child care before and after school. Its staff is helpful and very good with children.
Enshin Karate, a type of karate which focuses on the "open or unfinished circle" and "heart or inner," opened its doors in 1988. This school offers exceptional instruction in karate for both kids and adults. Its classes also include Thai boxing, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. All of the staff members are friendly, professional and take much pride in their respective martial arts.
