Yuzen Japanese Cuisine welcomes customers to drop in to its neighborhood restaurant and to "come as you are." This comfortable, friendly restaurant serves fresh sushi, healthy salads such as Curry Prawn Salad, Tofu and Eggplant Salad and the unique Ume Soba Salad made from plum buckwheat noodles. Its fish of the day dish is popular. Other menu items exclusive to Yuzen are Shitake Mushroom Medley, Crab Croquette, and Salmon Cakes with Ponzu Sauce. A children's menu and outdoor seating make this a good family choice. Happy Hour is every Sunday at Yuzen, with all beer and wine 50% off from 4:30pm to 9pm.
Opening in the fall of 2009, Sushi Joa has established a following of regular customers who enjoy the restaurant's fresh sushi rolls, nigiri sushi and sashimi. The contemporary dining room and sushi bar are welcoming, and an imported beer or Japanese saki is a good way to begin the dining experience. Noodle dishes (such as Nabeyaki U-Don), rice dishes (such as Oyako Donburi), vegetarian dishes and a variety of combination plates round out the menu. Take-out party trays are also available. Reservations are suggested for parties greater than six.
