Facilities at the Westchester Skating Academy are also open to the public. Adult admission is $10.25 with a $4 skate rental. Admission for children under 10, children under 3 and seniors is discounted. Members receive a $1 discount. Saturday-night admission is reduced across the board. Center Ice of DuPage is a full-featured facility that includes two Olympic-size rinks for figure skating, hockey, public skating and private events. The wood-paneled lobby has the cozy feel of a chalet, and it's a good place to warm up between sessions or enjoy a snack from the concession stand .There's also a Pro Shop where you can buy skates, apparel and accessories. On weekend nights, the rink goes dark for Cosmic Skate, a fun public skating session that features special lights synced to Top 40 music.
Group and private skating lessons are available for all ages and levels through Center Ice Skating Academy, where Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek once learned to skate. (He's been known to skate there still, from time to time.)
