Minnesota Made Hockey trains hockey players from Mites through high school age children. It began by offering hockey clinics and has expanded to provide training, tournaments, trips, events and AAA Hockey Clubs. The Plymouth Ice Center provides year-round ice skating, rentals and classes at its indoor facility. This center features three rinks of two sizes, one Olympic and two professional. This facility also has 16 locker rooms and two community meeting rooms. Wayzata and Armstrong high schools and Providence Academy play their home ice hockey games at the arena. The ice can be rented for groups by the quarter hour. The facility is a public-private collaboration between the city, Wayzata School District, Providence Academy, Life Time Fitness, local hockey associations and the state of Minnesota.
Arden Park, located on Minnehaha Creek, is a large open field for play, with a backstop for baseball and softball games. There is a playground area with benches and picnic tables and a walking path over the creek. In the winter, there is an outdoor hockey rink, outdoor skating rink and warming house at Arden Park.
Linden Hills Park, just down the block from the local public library branch, offers something for every season, from basketball courts to skating rinks. The recreation center at the park also has after-school programs, along with yoga and fitness classes for adults.
