In 1964, Dr. Amar G. Bose, then professor of electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, founded Bose Corporation. The company creates high-performance audio products. Bose established itself by introducing the 901 Direct/Reflecting speaker system in 1968. Product lines offered include home theater, DVD systems, front channel speakers, stereo speakers, headphones and headsets, outdoor and marine speakers and accessories.
