Affiliated P.E.T. Imaging Center offers advanced medical scanning services. The core of the service is Positron Emission Tomography (P.E.T.), a non-invasive procedure to identify biochemical abnormalities. This imaging is done in connection with CT and MR information to identify structural problems. Another option is PET/CT scanners offering both true PET/CT fusion imaging with contrast-enhanced diagnostic CT scanning. Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland is the only acute rehabilitation hospital in the state. They offer physical therapy based rehabilitation. They are appointment based but do offer emergency services. Specializations include brain and spinal chord injuries as well as stroke programs and lymphedema therapy. They also offer post injury/illness driver evaluation services that determine if a patient is safe to drive. If needed they provide driving training.
