American Heritage School, located in Plantation, Fla., is an independent, coeducational day school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through 12. The school has more than 2,000 students. The campus is spread over 35 acres, and consists of a lower school with a fully equipped science lab, computer lab, and art and music rooms. The upper school facilities include large air-conditioned classrooms, science lab, a computer center, and art, choral and band rooms. The entire school uses the media center, library, gymnasium and auditorium. The school also has an Olympic-sized swimming and diving facility, six tennis courts, a track, four locker rooms, a weight training room, and athletic fields. American Heritage School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Association of Independent Schools of Florida. It is also is registered with the Florida State Department of Education.
