The founder of ABARTA, Rolland Adams, started his company in 1933. Employed as a bank examiner at the time, Adams acquired an interest in a bankrupt newspaper named the Bethlehem Globe. Today, ABARTA Beverage Group owns and operates four Coca-Cola bottling companies, located in Lehigh Valley and Coatesville, Pa., Cleveland and Buffalo, N.Y.
