Established in 1887, the Salina Family YMCA, also known as the Salina Family Young Mens Christian Association, provides educational and spiritual classes, as well as assistance with the financial needs of young men and families. It offers an after-school program that emphasizes assistance with homework, hands-on learning and recreational activities. The Salina Family Young Mens Christian Association s aquatic programs focus on swimming classes, water exercise sessions, scuba diving, pool parties and lifeguard training. It also conducts several summer sports, including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, gardening, field trips, and arts and crafts for youths and teenagers. Additionally, the association offers training sessions for yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, swimming, and track and field. The Salina Family Young Mens Christian Association is located in Salina, Kan.
