The Palo Alto Family YMCA runs a number of programs for members of the entire family. Its main focus is the cultivation of a bright, healthy and growing youth community. The Bar Method, a Palo Alto gym which offers cross training and body sculpting, has a variety of fitness packages and unlimited classes for its members. Specifically, the Bar Method assists in core training, fat burning, muscle carving, waist trimming and posture enhancement. Classes are posted after sign up.

My Gym in midtown Palo Alto is a place for children to learn healthy habits at an early age through independent or parent participation gym classes, karate/martial arts training and more. My Gym also hosts birthday parties and offers classes for children six weeks and older.
Palo Alto Elks Lodge was established in 1923 to hold social events that aid veterans, youths and disadvantaged and handicapped individuals. The Lodge features a fitness center, where members may swim or play handball or racquetball. A bistro, featuring soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, wine, beer, is located on the premises.
