Established in 2000, MedVirginia is one of the leading hospital and physician owned networks in Richmond, Va. It organizes, coordinates and provides health care information technology through a clinical data and information exchange system that enables and supports improved business and clinical transactions. The facility collects hospital, laboratory and pharmacy data and organizes it into one single electronic chart. MedVirginia also offers additional services on a subscription basis, including electronic health records, electronic prescribing, integration of practice notes and integration with practice management systems. It additionally provides several options for integrated e-prescribing and electronic health records. The facility works in partnership with the Bon Secours Richmond Health System and athenahealth.
