An old favorite of the community, Zimmermann Hardware has been in business since 1974 and has won community awards. Recognizable by the big, brown bison standing guard between the automatic doors, Zimmermann's signage above reads "True Value." Located in the Grove Court Shopping Center, this hardware store provides plenty of services, such as propane refill, paint matching, knife sharpening, carpet cleaning rentals, glass cutting, key creation and copying, copy machine and window repair. There are also gift certificates available for purchase.
Since 1999 Buffalo Grove has been home to the Banner Plumbing Supply warehouse and its luxurious showroom (its southside location has no showroom). The company is a wholesale distributor. The daunting task of navigating the massive building is made easy by a friendly staff and good organization. The building is skillfully carved into gleeming, well-managed and comfortable spaces.
