The Paramount Center for the Arts may well be one of Peekskill's proudest historic monuments.

It is also one of the country's most famous arts venue and draws the best of talent from around the world.

Today the Paramount Center exists as a non-profit multidisciplinary center for the arts, offering year round live performances, films, arts-in-education programs and art exhibitions.

The Paramount Theater opened its doors in 1930 when a subsidiary of Paramount Pictures invited local theater-goers to its inaugural show. The theater contained 1500 seats then and in recent years has undergone extensive renovations to restore and renovate the theater to some of its original magnificence.

Whether you are looking for exceptional comedy or musical performances, or wish to take advantage of its many educational-based performances, you won't want to miss experiencing the vintage charm of this place.
