Violin by Vicki, established in 1995, offers private violin lessons or music for events such as weddings or receptions. Lessons are taught in 30-minute increments on available weeknights. Event music can range from a solo violin to an arrangement of strings, piano and vocalists, and demos can be sampled on the website. Vicki is a classically-trained violinist, but can also perform pop or other styles upon request.
Whitey O'Day has been singing and playing guitar since 1961. Whether in clubs, pubs, or restaurants, Whitey guarantees a good time for all. He also does birthday parties, senior events, community festivals and other fun ventures. With his acoustic guitar, Whitey performs folk songs, country ballads, '50s & '60s classics, sing-a-longs and old standards, weaving it all together with his trademark blend of humor and storytelling. CDs of his performances are also available.
The Betty Haag Academy of Music offers musical instruction in violin, viola, piano, note reading and repertoire classes to children of all ages. Founded and directed by violinist Betty Haag-Kuhnke, the school uses the Suzuki method as the foundation for learning music. Regular performances throughout the community are an integral part of the curriculum. The school is located in the Lord's Love Community Church building.
