VOENA is an acronym for Voices of Eve n' Angels. VOENA is a singing group made up of children ages 6 to eighteen. Voena has performed for presidents, Popes and audiences all over the world. The group has toured China, Mexico, Italy, Greece and Japan, from the White House to Davies Hall to Carnegie Hall with their musical message celebrating global diversity. Benicia Old Town Theatre Group offers performaing arts entertainment and strives to promote local theater in the area. It is a non-profit theater. Shows are generally held on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm. Sunday matinee performances are held at 2pm. Seating is general admission and reserved seating options are also available. Theater meetings open to the publc are held every second Tuesday of the month.
The Veterans Memorial Hall is located on the corner of 1st and Military streets in the heart of downtown Benicia. It is a favorite for wedding receptions due to its proximity to City Park and to its lovely gazebo, where many weddings take place.
