Music and Voice Institute is a nonprofit training and instruction company offering music lessons in strings, drums, woodwinds, brass instruments, percussion, guitar, bass, piano and violin. It hosts offers summer camps for kids ages seven through 13, including music enrichment, piano and guitar workshop, musical theater and performance.
Since 2003, The San Gorgonio Ballet Company has been a dance school specializing in ballet and jazz. This nonprofit organization is directed by Julia Olsen-Rodriguez, a product of the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School. It instructs dancers and operates a ballet company specializing in original works choreographed by Olsen-Rodriguez; the company, including students, performs frequently at the school and in Palm Springs at the Annenberg Theater
The Alliance has renovated the century-old Banning Woman's Club building into its headquarters, adding a sculpture garden with a new Veterans Memorial Wall. It sponsors and organizes festivals that include the pre-holiday Phineas Festival and an Easter-season Art Hop. Led by Executive Director Carol Newkirk, the Alliance is a spearhead organization in the drive to rehabilitate Banning's downtown retail district. The Alliance also operates the Banning Center for the Arts gallery and PAPA theater group.
